Intensive Outpatient Program
Helping People With Mental Health and Co-occurring Disorders Lead Happier
Healthier Lives
The partial hospitalization behavioral health program at UF Health Flagler Hospital
provides an intensive level of psychiatric treatment in an outpatient
setting. Our primary goal is to improve quality of life and reduce symptoms
to prevent relapse or hospitalization. All new patients participate in
a formal clinical evaluation performed by a multi-disciplinary team. This
evaluation helps the team develop a treatment plan that reflects each
patient's individual strengths, limitations and goals for treatment. Every
patient's goals are reviewed and updated weekly in team meetings and individual sessions.
Our compassionate and comprehensive program is designed to achieve the
best possible results and consists of:
- Group Therapy - Psychoeducational Groups on topics such as: coping skills,
life skills, stress reduction, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical
behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, and seeking safety
- Medication Management – Medications will be reviewed for effectiveness
and modified if necessary to assist with improving mood.
- Individual Therapy, Family Therapy and Multi-Family Therapy Group –
While Group Therapy is the primary mode of treatment, each patient will
have individual counseling on a regular basis as determined by your therapist
and family counseling where appropriate. Multi-Family Group occurs twice
monthly and offers a support and process group for family/significant
others of patients in the program.
